Postgraduate Admissions
The School of Mathematics is the largest in the UK with an outstanding research reputation and facilities.
Many research seminars are held in the School on a weekly basis and allow staff and research students to stay in touch with the latest developments in their fields. The School is one of the lead partners in the MAGIC project and research students can attend any of the postgraduate courses offered by the MAGIC consortium
There are many opportunities both for research PhD and MPhil programmes and for taught MSc and Diploma programmes. We currently have nearly 200 postgraduate students working in a wide variety of different fields. The School currently disburses more than a million pounds per annum towards the funding of postgraduate students, including more than half a million pounds of EPSRC funding, and substantial funding from other institutions including the European Commission and UK government ORS awards.
